Property developer Griffon Homes approached Tidy Studio with a brief to create an original, aspirational brand for its tastefully renovated apartment building.

The vision

Having formerly been known as The Air Balloon, we recognised the importance of honouring the public house’s past by staying true to its original name.

Our branding principles would be partly inspired by Bristol’s famous balloon fiesta. This public event fills the skies over the city every year, upholding Bristol’s tradition of vibrant culture and sky-high ambition – an ideal muse for this traditional-meets-contemporary design project.

The outcome

By celebrating Air Balloon’s colourful history and modern refinements with a bespoke sans serif typeface, playful logo and modern website, we helped Griffon Homes to attract buyers for every flat in its building ahead of opening.
