Tidy Studio was asked by property developer Juniper Homes to create a distinctive brand for Old Shoe Factory, conveying the historic splendour of its stunning Georgian facade alongside the modern benefits of inner-city living.

The vision

Our research into the Old Shoe Factory unearthed some fascinating artefacts, including paper advertisements for footwear produced during the building’s heyday as a boot and shoe manufacturing facility.

We used these treasures to inspire our heritage-meets-modern brand for Old Shoe Factory, marrying brogue-like patterns and golden-age fonts from the early 1900s with bold contemporary graphics and a confident, eye-catching colour palette.

The outcome

By alluding to the intriguing industrial history of its building with a contemporaneous-yet-modern visual identity, Old Shoe Factory sold 85% of its apartments at its launch event and continues to attract high-paying property investors.
